Request - Motion Computing CL900 Insyde BIOS A06
#1
So, I’m a total newb when it comes to bios and hex editing. I have searched through the forums for over a day now trying to figure out how to get by the whitelist. I have a Motion CL900 and have broken down the bios http://www.motioncomputing.com/drivers/C...A06_RN.htm and found that I use the QEX2GA06.fd. I would like to use the wwan port which has a Sierra Wireless MC8355 card in it, for another wlan slot (intel 3945ABG). I don’t receive an error message on boot but it will simply not register that the card is there. The wwan card has VID 1199 & PID 9011. I played with the hex a little and found 99 11 11 90, but I have no idea what to do with it and would prefer not to brick my system Any help with this would be greatly appreciated

First off, thank you for your prompt reply.

Here is the .dat, but the config folder is much to large to upload. Is there something specific I can get to you or is there a certain piece of information you need?

Thanks

I don't think I have anything installed from ACER. There are a few file names and .dll files that have that have the ACER in the string, but they do not specifically pertain to ACER them selves...Unless Motion Computing used a driver that that was derived from an ACER specific driver. If you have more info on it, I can try to dig further. Or if Microsoft found a more "compatible" driver and installed it during an update?

555LE,
Have you found anything out about the BIOS, or is there anything else you need to help you along?

Thanks Smile

FYI: Trying to run a WLAN card within the WWAN slot will most likely not work. Would love to hear if you got it working, but odd's are you didn't and are still stuck.

I am very much still stuck :p I would try to purchase a WALN half card, but the makers of the system could not tell me for sure if it would work or not, so I'd rather not waste the money on it.
