Asus Rampage III Extreme ZioMod Bios (Latest: 1601_S17)

I have tried removing the driver from the Non-Plug and Play Drivers list in the Device Manager but it comes back on next restart of windows.
I am not sure how to stop the iStorA driver from loading or remove this driver completely.
Don't try to change anything regarding the usually hidden "Non-Plug and Play Driver" - you will get a BSOD at next reboot. This driver is not working in the background, but just loaded by the OS at startup for the "Last good configuration" F8 option in the case of a boot failure.
If the iaStorF.sys is not used by the HDD's/SSD's of your system (look into the "Drives" section of the Device Manager), everything is ok.
By the way: Why did you install the older Intel RSTe drivers v11.5.0.1171 and not the newest v11.5.0.1184?

I did have the Intel RSTe drivers v11.5.0.1171 installed from the last time I tried the 11.5 drivers but I did not know that
some drivers and registry entries from this set would still be left on the system after uninstalled them a while ago.

I have managed to remove the drivers iaStorF.sys and iStorA.sys and registry entries relating to iaStorF and iStorA
from my system without causing any problems or BSOD.

Hi .. I am User beginner and would like to clarify a doubt about how to update the BIOS of my R3E for this modified version ... is to install the two files to the start of the topic or only the file ZioMod_1601_S02_SLIC.rar (Size: 974.55 KB / Downloads: 55)? I am waiting for a help, sorry for the English, because I am Brazilian and I am using the google translator ...

Andrè, you just need to download the file ZioMod_1601_S02_SLIC.rar. Decompress the BIN file inside the RAR and flash it using ALT+F2 during boot or through the menu option in bios, as usual.

It just seems to be with the 11.5 series Intel OROMs and 11.5 RSTe drivers. Ether the 11.5 series has a lot of bugs, incompatibility problems and etc with our board or when using older chipsets such as x58 that our board has or the current 11.5 series is really meant for more modern chipsets above x58 like Z68 etc.
That's exactly what I thought. Fernando is luckier because X79 seems to work well with 11.5 drivers, but us X58 users should stay away from those.
My system has an Intel Z68 chipset and not an X79 one. Furthermore I want to mention, that X79 chipsets are not supported at all by the actual Intel RST(e) drivers of the v11.5 series.

Uhm... So? What exactly is your point? Do you suggest using enterprise drivers on R3E or not? I can't understand, sorry... :-(

Have anybody else tried the the latest 11.5 Intel OROM and 11.5
series drivers on our board with two SSDs in RAID0?

The reason why I am asking is because I would like to know if
there's anybody else finding the 11.5 series Intel OROM and
drivers very unstable and slow on our board when in RAID0.

I am not sure what the 11.5 series are like on our
board when using a single SSD Drive.

I just wanted to point out, that your sentence "Fernando is luckier because X79 seems to work well with 11.5 drivers" was misleading, because I don't have an Intel X79 chipset board and X79 users are not even able to get the actual original 11.5 drivers installed.

Not all all. I don't have any experience with an X58 system.
