I still get the same error. However, it seems that the bandwidth limit should be reset every month, so I'll try again in two days and report back.

I just managed to download and flash this BIOS (which caused a few problems since I'm running Linux, and had to rely on WinPE to flash), and it seems to work great.

Hello,

I'd like to request removal of whitelist from the BIOS for a X200s Lenovo laptop.

-Manufacturer: Lenovo
-Motherboard Model: Thinkpad X200s 74705GF
- BIOS Information
Vendor: LENOVO
Version: 6DET61WW (3.11 )
Release Date: 11/10/2009
Address: 0xE0000
Runtime Size: 128 kB
ROM Size: 8192 kB
BIOS Revision: 3.17
Firmware Revision: 1.6

Current BIOS version updates are available here:
http://support.lenovo.com/ca/en/products...kpad-x200s
http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/...uj48us.exe

This system currently only has GNU/Linux installed, any help/indications on how to backup its current BIOS if needed would be appreciated. Windows can be reinstalled temporarily to do this too.

I searched the forum for previous requests and found this, perhaps it can help:

Ok friend,
You have to download an Hiren's USB Boot compilation to run WinXp or Win7 from USB !

Hiren's Boot DVD 15.2 Restored Edition 1.1 (January 2013)

ftp://193.192.37.3/download/distributive...oteus.html

Then copy these tools into the USB created and run from Win7 env. (as Admin) :

http://rghost.net/58219938

use this too and do the sameĀ  :

http://rghost.net/53128665

Then upload here the result files here !
I will tr to prepare a Bios Mod based on Original file . . .
Let me know
Regards

P.S. You found original file 3.11 version ?

Your Brain . . . . It's the best tool U can use ! Wink
