SuperMicro H8DCE-O
#1
Hey there, was just looking to see if there was a way to unlock crossfire on this board. I've seen it done over at ocworkbench.com with the ASRock N7AD-SLI which has an Nvidia chipset so I figured I'd ask to get some help doing it on this board.

My BIOS is here:
http://www.supermicro.com/about/policies...tfile.aspx?ID=155

And if you wanna check out the Asus N7AD-SLI BIOS to see what they did, you can get the original and the Crossfire enabled BIOS from here:
http://www.asrock.com/MB/download.asp?Model=N7AD-SLI&o=Win764

Thanks.

Sad
I figured it wouldn't be a hidden feature since I'm attempting to get Crossfire on an Nvidia chipset. There would have to be more work than just looking at it with AMIBCP and changing it from hidden. Argh.

Everywhere I've looked people have been saying that it's certain registers in the BIOS that the Catalyst drivers require in order for it to enable Crossfire. The only people I have seen to get it done are the fine people at ASRock that I mentioned above, and whoever else makes the boards for systems such as the HP Blackbird.

Is there any way that we could get a little more in depth with messing with the BIOS modding of this or is this more of a lost cause?

Thanks

I've seen some stuff like this with getting NVIDIA SLI getting to work on non supported boards, so I will look into this for you.

Thank you so much. You are my hero right now. I have to admit though, I have had a couple of drinks tonight, but I'm pretty sure tomorrow I will still feel the same way.

Thank you again
