Insyde H2O password
#1
Sad
Hello guys,

I am not sure if am posting in the right session or forum, but I really need some help. Actually I have a Compal QAL51 barebone with insyde h2o bios. The problem is that I forgot the bios password and can't change the configs. I tried to reflash using this topic http://www.citronix.net/blog/how-to-remo...s-updated/ changing the parameters without success.I also did a crisis recovery but nothing changed. I've contacted the motherboard manufacturer and they charged me $90 plus shipping and I can't afford. I appreciate if any of you can help me and I will reward.

Thanks in advance.

the bios used is this: http://www.4shared.com/zip/W1DXBX-z/BIOS_V640.html?

Best regards

Hello,

Well I think so. The notebook did some beeps and then rebooted with the older bios that I have here. But apparently it did not erased the password.

Thanks for you reply

Hello buddy, thanks for your reply.

Actually my notebook does not have a battery. I've heard that there's a small chip responsible for the storage of the password. Do you know something about it?

Best regards
