MS-7061 Unlocked Overclocking Features
#1
Hello everybody,

my name is Chris and I'm trying here to get support for my currently biggest problem there is Smile

Unfortunately, there is no forum in Germany who were able to help me provide an unlocked verison of my BIOS.

I tried to overlock the FSB several times but always got stopped by the VCORE was to slow and I couldn't adjust it because it's blocked in BIOS.

Please Please help me! I no that I don't have that great board for overlocking activities but maybe an performance increase of 10-20% could be possible, with your help !? Rolleyes

Here comes an extract of my BIOS:
Program: eSupport.com BIOS Agent Version 3.61
BIOS Date: 07/28/04
BIOS Type: Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG
BIOS ID: 07/28/2004-KM266-8237-6A6LYM4BC
OEM Sign-On: W7061VMS V3.2 072804 15:03:47
Chipset: VIA 82C3205 rev 0
Superio: Winbond 697HF rev 2 found at port 2Eh
OS: WinXP SP2
CPU: AMD Sempron™ 2004 Mhz MAX: 2100 Mhz
BIOS ROM In Socket: Yes
BIOS ROM Size: 256K
Memory Installed: 1024 MB
Memory Maximum: 2048 MB
Memory Slot 01: 512 MB
Memory Slot 02: 512 MB
ACPI Revision: 1.0

My CPU is currently running at 2 Ghz and it's not possible to increse the FSB (with "CPU FSB") because there is no programm available which let me adjust the VCORE in Bios. It's currently at about 1,56 V and I've heard the AMD Athlon processors with Barton core can handle 1,85 V easy.

In future , we ask you provide us with a bios download link!

We also need to know which of the following is printed on the motherboard , there are several boards with MS-7061

KM3M-V

KM4AM-V

KM4M-V

They all have different bios downloads so please check which one is the right one

Kind Regards

Edit: Worked it out as KM3M-V Tongue

I downloaded the latest (v3.2) bios but unfortunately theres not any useful options hidden in your bios that relate to VCORE Sad

Sorry , if the options arent there we cant add them!

Hello Admin,

thank you very much for your kind support!

I had those bad feeling already and thought that it would be difficult to do something for my case. The board is much to "mainstream-like". Next time I check whether it's an "overclocker-board" or not in advance.

Ok, but maybe can you please provide me a link or just inform me where to get the actual version?

I will have a look and maybe find other options which might help me.

Just to make sure I understood correctly, you think it's not possible to prepare a mod-bios for my board, right?

Once again, thank you very much and have a nice day!

the file can be found on msis support site by searching for the model name KM3M-V and then clicking downloads

Yes , unfortunately i cannot mod your bios as theres nothing left to unlock (well , there were a couple of things if you really want me to but nothing that will help you overclock)
