Same bios (5ECN96WW) already here: http://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-Re...3#pid69783

I remember reading on other posts that each bios is unique to the computer because they contain the Ethernet mac Address and the Slic, etc.

Yeah just flashed with the link you sent. Now my model is invalid as well as my uuid being ffffffff-ffffffff.

Yeah. In any case, after updating the bios, you need load default.

Hi Sovem, you are awasome.
I have one question for you. If we have a bois originally installed like 5ecn42ww and make a backup file with backup exe. Then upgrade to original 5ecn96ww. then install mod 5ecn96ww in DOS. Now if we want to go back to original 5ecn42ww from backup file in DOS. Is it possible?

Thanks in advance.

Yeah, you can. But do not encourage downgrade bios. That unsafe and can damage your computer.

Hi BDMaster,

The link to the first file is dead. I created the dos usb using HP usb dos utility with win 98 dos. When I boot with the usb stick change to dir where the modded bios is and enter Flash.bat it runs for less then a second and prompt is displayed. I don't think the flash worked, and when I put in my new wireless card I get unauthorized wireless device, remove and restart. I also get no error when flash.bat is entered If you could clarify what I did wrong it would be appreciated.

New wireless card Intel 7260 AC

Old Intel 2200

Thanks!
