Acer/Gateway LT1004u SLIC 2.1 please

Music
Hey all, if you could integrate SLIC 2.1 into this BIOS that would be great. I've tried it myself and I couldn't do it!

Download from ==> here <===

It's version v0.3105

It also has a HP splash for some reason! Big Grin

Thanks.

Right , sorted with HP 2.1 SLIC , dont know why theres a HP spalsh screen , this bios has a Packard bell splash screen Tongue

Here you go , i used HP 2.1 SLIC + Certificate Included:-

1. Copy and paste ******.XRM-MS certificate file into C-Drive.

2. After pasting this file into C-Drive, go to START - ALL PROGRAMS - ACCESSORIES - COMMAND PROMPT. Right click on Command Prompt and RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR.

3. When Command Prompt opens, type at the prompt: slmgr.vbs -ilc c:\********.xrm-ms and hit the Enter Button. Wait for the Script Host to answer you with a message that the license was installed successfully....this could take a few minutes and so be patient.

4. After receiving the message that the license was installed successfully, type at the command prompt:

slmgr.vbs -ipk *****-*****-*****-*****-***** (Replace with any OEM SLP Product Key for your installed version of Windows 7 , they are not hard to find).Be Patient and wait for the message to say that the Product Key was sucessfully installed. After it says successfully installed, reboot the computer.

5. When you are back at your desktop, go to START - COMPUTER - right click on Computer and choose PROPERTIES and see if it is activated with an OEM product ID.

Hi, I seem to have got my HP mixed up with my Packard Bell, too many Packards it seems! Big Grin I think the BIOS may be made by Acer however, which further adds to the confusion.

Thanks for patching the BIOS, the BIOS flashed ok, no problems. I always do it for DOS to be on the safe side.

I also managed to install the cert and product key ok, but when I rebooted, it still says '29 days to activate'.

Anyway, when I tried (and failed) to add SLIC info myself, I used a program called 'SLIC toolkit v3' in order to check if the tables were ok, here's a screenshot of it after flashing it with your patched BIOS:

Do you think this may work if the Acer SLIC table and cert were used instead of the HP one? I can provide more info or mem dumps if needed...

Basically , theres still a HP string in there (Look at the Marker) , this has to be edited to Acer instead so it all matches up , then install the cert (OEM SLP Keys are not brand specific , only version specific so any professional key will work!)

Also make sure to uninstall any loaders you might have installed previously as they will affect the success of a bios mod
