Hello,
is not clear to me ,
so is it possible for you to mod the bios without the back-up or not? im willing to try to flash the modded bios over the old one.....maybe the protections will be passed during and actual update.

can you repost the modded bios for this http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/...uj10ww.exe

this is another situation ......maybe the update will work without HW programer.....because is an actual upgrade.....not an "update"

we gotta try all the options, right?

thanks

The modded file is done on Bios Backup, so You have reflash by FPT an modded backup !

resurrecting this thread

i have been out for a while and im not up to speed with the new developments

as per this thread http://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-Le...el-7620-AC

it appears that those users were able to flash a modded bios without an external programer .....? or i did not understand that well ?

if that is the case ....x240 i guess has the same protections as E531, can thinkpad edge E531 be modded now?

Thanks

now installed version 1.17
Model notebook = 68856XG
Version SMBIOS = 2.7
Controller firmware version = 1.17

Thanks!

please help....although the 2x2 Broadcom wlan is surprisingly good (i was expecting half speeds all the time) i have an intel centrino 6205 and an intel ac7260 that i want to swap

Broadcom ID :
PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4359&SUBSYS_060714E4&REV_00
PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4359&SUBSYS_060714E4
