Pegatron M2N78-LA (another!)
#1
Hi guys,

Been reading around the site with regards to this mobo. Have got a HP Pro 3015MT PC with a M2N78-LA motherboard and all it does is turn on and sit there, no beeps, no video output, nothing.

I was hoping I could somehow recover the BIOS on this motherboard and get the machine working again but unfortunately there seems to be many differing ways on achieving this and the symptoms I have don't appear to match any other posts people have made.

Unfortunately I don't know how the PC got into this state, it was part of a job lot that I took out of a company when we upgraded their machines so it was working AFAIK.

The mobo has no floppy header so I am unable to try the old floppy drive routine - does anyone have any other ideas before I bin the thing??

Thanks

-Will

Hello wills,

You could attempt CRISIS BIOS recovery with a USB Flashdrive. Keep in mind that the flashdrive must be 2GB or less in capacity for CRISIS to work.

CRISIS Recovery instructions for AMI: https://www.bios-mods.com/bios-recovery/...-recovery/

Potentially helpful info: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Loc...d-p/252111

EDIT: I am not sure if AMI BIOSes have the 2GB flashdrive restriction like Phoenix. You could try using a bigger flashdrive if necessary.

!!!!!PLEASE READ!!!!!! Our Ukrainian friends are undergoing atrocities right now and need support. There are two things you can do for starters:

1.) Donate to one of various organizations offering medical, military, and psychological support to those impacted: Support Organizations

2.) Combat misinformation on social media.

Also, please feel free to PM me if I have not replied again about your BIOS mod request after 5 days.
