Need fixed BIOS for dv6-2019er
#1
Hello Everyone!I tried to install windows XP but failed with different packs. One problem all time-blue screen with error-aspi.sys.I suggest that BIOS not support ACPI version for XP.I can install XP after disabling ACPI but battery not charging and laptop can be turned off only pressing power button.
I looked in AIDA64 that 2 SATA connectors worked in SATA- and IDE-mode.First SATA connector working with HDD-cable, use with HDD.Second SATA-coonector use optical drive, but can be changed for second HDD Caddy (blue screen shows too).
I need modded BIOS with fixed ACPI-Tables,that let to install XP.Can you solve my problem?
My current BIOS F.13.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp47501-48000/sp47531.exe
Notice. I can to install WinXP on dv5-1040er and dv6-1316er.I think that version ACPI in that BIOSes is supporting for WinXP.
Thanks.

Thanks very much! Now I write BIOS F46 modded by BDMaster in my second laptop hp dv6-1316er (C2D P8400, HD4650 1Gb).Then I compare Power management menus of both and found a mismatch.
String "ACPI S1" has value "Disabled" in F13 and cannot be changed. In the second laptop a same string has value "Enabled".I have no problems with WinXP on this book.
Can you change value "Disabled" to "Enabled"?I think i found main problem with blue screen "acpi.sys" during installing WinXP.

So, I found a possible reason for disabled ACPI S1 in F13.
I read F.13 with EZh2O and found hidden string ACPI version (as default value 3.0 and WinXP cannot support this version). It can be changed between values are "1.0b", "3.0", "4.0".This string located in System Configuration but hidden in all versions of Bios in archive.
Can you unlock all System Configuration Menu?
Also i have three laptops HP with Insyde BIOS and i need your help.
First laptop is dv6-1316er with F.46, I found unlocked Bios with needed hidden menus-solved.
Second laptop is dv5-1040er with F.21
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp45001-45500/sp45138.exe
I need unlock menus Power, System Configuration,Advanced (also SATA and IDE mode).I will try to install Win2000 and must change to IDE mode.
Third laptop is dv5-1164er with F.38
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp46501-47000/sp46501.exe
Same requests.
Can you hepl me?Thanks.

Can you help me please?

My bios got corrupted and I don't have the recovery partition anymore.
I need the bios and sig file from the recovery partition in order to recover the laptop using win+b combination.

My bios is the same as this:
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp47501-48000/sp47531.html
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp47501-48000/sp47531.exe

The bios file is named 3635F13.FD.

An older version would be better. Maybe there in one in your hp tools partition in the folder bios\old.
PM me if you can help. Thanks.

Here You go to follow Donoan Tutorial :

http://donovan6000.blogspot.it/2013/06/i...overy.html

Your Bios is not Encrypted so there is not a RSA.SIG file only Bios File

It has to be renamed as A.BIN here You go to take It :

http://rghost.net/7zvMFQnZq

Prepae an USB Stick using UEFI Bios Tool here :

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp47001-47500/sp47470.exe

Then rename USB Stick as HP_TOOLS and copy Bios File into and Boot
from USB !

Hi BDMaster!
I unlock Acpi Selection, USB boot, Quick boot, Quiet Boot.
I change "Acpi selection" value to 1.0b but problem not solved.
I get a blue screen with acpi.sys and 7E again.
Perharps AMD cpu driver not included to XP pack so we can see this stop error.
I will try to install XP at dv5 amd platform and then attach HDD to dv6 laptop.

Hm. Also i unlocked Acpi selection, Usb boot,Quick boot, quiet boot at F.46 Bios dv6-1xxx.
I was suprised for Acpi version 3.0 but Win XP installing here without problem.
I keep a suggestion that problem is not included AMD processor driver.
