Here is the BIOS Update from Lenovo Website: http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/...uj17us.iso

Thanks in advance !

Here You go Patches File GJET80WW T440-T44S :

Hi BDMaster,

I have the T440s and I have installed the latest bios which is the GJET82WW (2.32) version

*Here's the download link exe installer file from Lenovo:
 http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/...uj18us.exe

First of all, I'm a total noob at this but I'm really desperate.  As a matter of fact, I purchased a CH341A 24 25 Series EEPROM Flash USB Programmer and SOIC8 SOP8 Clips just incase normal flashing does not work.  I really hope you or someone can help me Smile

*please note I'm willing to brick this laptop so if you want me to try something risky, that's fine.

My first question is can I use the patches.txt you did for bios version GJET80WW for the newer version (GJET82WW)?

My 2nd question is, since I bought the hardware USB Programmer - If normal flashing does not work, can I use the CodeRush UEFIPatch 0.2.1 method - will it output a BIN file I can flash using the Hardware programmer?

BTW, using the software that came from the USB Programmer I have attached a screenshot of the BIOS info:

http://imgur.com/JD9gfC5

Hope this helps.

I would like to have the whitelist removed from this BIOS to allow
use of a replacement broadcom card for use in OSX.

This BIOS appears to have a whitelist enabled for both WiFi and
Bluetooth based on the 2 unauthorized card messages I see when
attempting to use the Broadcom card.

Download for 2.32 BIOS:
http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/...uj18us.exe
(Supported platforms are ThinkPad T440, T440s)

Current WiFi card:
Intel 7260 AC M.2 NGFF Combo Card
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_08B2&SUBSYS_C2708086&REV_83

WiFi adapter includes BT card:
USB\VID_8087&PID_07DC&REV_0001

Replacement card BCM94352Z :
(WiFi portion)
Vendor ID: 14E4
Device ID: 43B1
SubVen ID: 11AD
SubDev ID: 6626
(Bluetooth portion - BCM20702)
Vendor ID: 0930
Device ID: 0223

If possible I'd also like for the MSR 0xE2 register to be unlocked to allow
OSX native Haswell power management to work without a modified kernel,
and last but not least to unlock any 'hidden menus' in the BIOS to allow
control over various settings that the OEM hides such as the DVMT
pre-allocated RAM amount for the iGPU. If these two requests require
different threads I understand.

Here is a backup of the BIOS obtained via the SPI programmer and a
copy of the results.rar that is made from "BACKUP_Tools.exe"
http://www.sendspace.com/filegroup/gIyDN...HcQTYK2JKw

@BDMaster - I think you are my only hope in this, thanks for your time
and a donation will be seen when this is done.

BDMaster - works great in OSX for the WiFi ... the whitelist has been bypassed.

When powering on from a cold boot there are 2 sets of 5 quick beeps before the BIOS splash screen comes up. Any way to disable this?
When rebooting the beeps don't occur.

Just need to find some working windows drivers ... the ones I can find can't find any networks, but in OSX I can use WiFi, BT working in Windows will need to get it working in OSX as well.. But this isn't your issue.

For the MSR unlock and other BIOS settings should I make another thread for those? (or might those changes not be possible?)

YOu have to aaply the CodeRush UEFIPatch fro MSR (OSX) here You go and just drag and drop
your Bios Mod on patcher and You'll get the MSR_Patched fle !
About Beeps I think is the RSA Check and I will try to find a solution quickly !
About Network issue try the Pin #20 and 51 Tapeing trick, look here :

https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-R...6#pid85816

I will reply quickly about your Bios Mod Wink !!!

Unfortunately as this laptop uses the M.2 NGFF card those pin taping methods no longer apply.
Also for some unknown reason the beeping has stopped on its own. I can't seem to get it to beep again.
Where might I find the CodeRush UEFIPatch and is that compatible with the SPI BIOS dump?

Well I found CodeRush's post ...

Code:
osx:UEFIPatch_0.3.4_osx ludacrisvp$ ./UEFIPatch Firmware-T440S_GJET82WW\(2.32\)-whitelist.bin
parseVolume: unknown file system FFF12B8D-7696-4C8B-A985-2747075B4F50
parseVolume: unknown file system 00504624-8A59-4EEB-BD0F-6B36E96128E0
parseFile: non-empty pad-file contents will be destroyed after volume modifications
patch: replaced 10 bytes at offset 2DC6h 75080FBAE80F89442430 -> EB080FBAE80F89442430
Image patched
I hope that means all is well when I go to reflash the bios.

Do you know of other patches.txt files out there that might apply to unlock other BIOS options?
