Whats the point? Both the Dell MX09 and the FX09 are SLIC 2.1 bioses , you arent losing or gaining anything from this!

Seems you already have SLIC 2.1 Tongue

Two things,
FX09 isn't SLIC 2.1, I just installed Dell BIOS 1.1.3 and is SLIC 2.0

The other: the AFUWIN don't works, i tried and always make and error, "AFUWIN stops working, looking for a solution".
Can anyone help me?

Thanks a lot.
P.D.: Sorry for my English, I'm from Spain and I try to write the better IcanBlushBlush

oh i got mixed up , theres a Dell 2.1 SLIC out there with the Marker of Dell FX09 which is not what you meant!

Sorry

you have to flash manually from DOS using a bootable usb drive or cd (google for instructions how to do this)

First I'll say thank you very much for the effort on this site.

Then I can only see one link in this thread, and the marker is QA09 is the M09 a typo , or I have a wrong link ?

Then I see that the SLIC is added at the end floating the in an empty 0xFF region. Is there any reason of doing it that way ? I'm just curious. Is there any chance of it being 'less valid' on a win7 SP1 for example ?

Thank your for your time.

Strange that this thread has had 1266 views with just one person reporting to have successfully flashed the 1.1.3 Bios -- and that person provided no specifics as to which flashing tool was used.

Can anyone confirm success adding SLIC 2.1 by flashing the 1.1.3 Bios on a Dell Studio XPS 435MT, and advise as to which tool was used with what switches, if any?
