Hi,

is it and PCI-E Card, or a NGFF?
Not sure but when it is a PCI-E Card you can try to isolate Pin 20 with tape (see pic in attachment).
Some mod's need that pin to be isolated.

Greetings

ZabbensX

Befor flash, check this recovery procedur: https://www.bios-mods.com/bios-recovery/...-recovery/ when this is working, you are able to recover a broken bios!
Don't flash Bios if you receive a warning or error!
You flash on your own risk! - I am also new to this.

Thank you for your response, the wifi PCI-e card works fine until i reboot, is it necessary to isolate pin20?? Sorry new to this but very competent.

I tooked a quick look at the patched bios.
I have an idea, but i need a dump of your original bios (not the update file)

Revert to your unpatched bios and share the result.rar of that.

Greetings

I will post shortly. Should i also have the old card connected when i pull the bios info or is that not necessary?

That is weired.
Just for my understanding:
You were using a patched bios with your wireless card - with success.
Then you did a bios updated with another patched bios - only works till reboot

Am I understanding this right?

No, but close Smile

1. i was using Intel wifi n-1000 first, which came with my original system

2. purchased 7260 updated bios with custom bios i found with the file name on my original post

3. card works and passes bios check until PC reboots, then the card doesn't properly turn on in windows.

i can see it, its enabled in networking but the windows 8.1 off-on switch under airplane mode is stuck on "OFF" position and grayed out.

If i reflash with the custom bios again i regain access to wifi until it reboots.
