Acer aspire M7811 bios mod
#1
Hello everybody,

Sorry for my bad english...

I made a request to unlock the bios on my acer aspire M7811 a few weeks ago but someone answered me that it was a too old bios.

So i upgraded my bios and repost a request 2 days ago but no one seems to be able to help me, so i have a question :

which software may I use to unlock my bios by myself ?

I join a save of my bios if it can help...

Thanks to all who will take few minutes to read my post...

It's me... again...

So, i've modded my bios with AMIBCP, in order to unlock some features.

I've made a usb bootable drive, with command.com IO.sys and MSDOS.sys.

I put afudos and my .rom on the drive

when i try flashing by using the command :

afudos /imyrom.rom /pbnc /n

it says "error : out of memory"

what can i do ????

I join my modded rom in case of utility

Kiss from france Wink

it's me again... i tried the both files, but it gave me the same error message :

can't analyze the IIM information

Is there a solution ?

Edit : i tried to flash with a non modded bios (the original last version of my motherboard bios) and it gave me the same message... Isn't this strange ?

How do You flashed the Bios from DOS or Windows ?
The best way is from Dos !
Let me know

I've made a usb bootable drive, (with the HP tool found here) with command.com IO.sys and MSDOS.sys.
i've put afudos.exe, DOSflash.bat and the ROM file on the drive
restart my pc in dos mode, and type dosflash.bat
It starts but stop quickly, showing me the error message :
"Can't analyze IIM information"
Even with a non-moded bios...

I don't understand because a few days ago I updated my bios with the same way (with the last update from the manufacturer website) and it worked...

I'm a little lost...

when i mod my bios by my own with amibcp, same error message...
there must be a solution (except buying a new mobo, of course lol)

(thanks for the time you take to help me...)

Are You using Afudos version present into Bios Mod folder ?

You can run this comand directly from c:\

C:\afudos 9A2A1017.ROM /p /b /c

so the Bios file has to get this name 9A2A1017.ROM (check It)

Let me know
Regards

P.S. here You can find many AMI tools :

yes i used afudos present in the folder with the modded rom: error message (ca'nt analyze IIM information)

and after i tried with another version : same error message.

so i tried to run the command you gave me (C:\afudos 9A2A1017.ROM /p /b /c) : same error message..

I have he sensation that i've block or damage something, because the same manipulation worked last week...

i don't know what to do at this point.... any idea or suggestion ?
