[REQUEST] ASUS B43S unlock advanced menu
#1
Star
Hi, I have this B43s bios that is not showing many advanced options. The problem is, this laptop has switchable graphics that I need to disable, in order to use eGPU.

Followed some tutorials and poked around with AMIBCP, but I am stuck at what to do with the menu structure.

Question 1.
There seem to be a duplicate "Main" menu structure; one of them has the "Switchable Graphics" option I need.
How do I make it visible?

Question 2.
Some posts suggested to make all options "Access : user".
How risky is that? What is the chance that I can brick computer by doing "Access : user" only?

Because this is my main laptop, I try to be careful with it.

Ok friend,
You can Unlock all Tabs and sub-tabs just modifying to USER the Default,
then save and reflash It back using FPTw or FPTw64 v.8.1.51.1476 about
your Windows x32 or x64 !Here You go to get this Tool :

Let me know
Regards

P.S. The Brick issue is relative to use of Bios Unlocked saving Extreme Settings !

Thanks BDmaster!

I have one last question:
Which ROM should I modify from?
1. ROM from manufacturer download page
2. the one I backed-up from laptop
They are the same version(212), but I run a binary compare there are differences.

One large chunk of the factory firmware is blank, where it has data in the backup ROM.
My speculation is that it would be safer to use the ROM from my own backup, is it?
