toshiba satellite a100 (psaa8a)
#1
HI there

I'm doing my first phoenix bios mod and I think I am getting all the ducks in a row I believe I have everything I need to mod the bios.

I have flashed the latest bios to the motherboard bios to update the boot block and I'm using that bios to mod with and I have a rweverything report

I wish to embed a slic 2.1 key into the bios.

I get a message from the phoenix tool that I did not expect when modding the bios that I have never seen before with:

Code:
Full SLIC table (Reversed) found in BIOSCOD01.ROM at EAD3
OEM/Table IDs identified are:
1. TOSINVTOSINV00
2. TOSINVCALISTGA
3. INTEL CALISTGA
4. PTLTD CALISTGA
Complete SLIC (2.0) (TOSINVTOSINV00     INV) in BIOSCOD01.ROM (x1)

should I use the ssv2 or dynamic method for my Toshiba branded laptop?

Below is my bios file and a rweverything report:

.rom   S10GM600.ROM (Size: 1 MB / Downloads: 12)
.rar   AcpiTbls.rar (Size: 63.02 KB / Downloads: 8)

I found a similar thread here but for a different model of laptop with a similar motherboard that uses the same bios but it looks like they gave up or did not post there success on this laptop.

Thanks,

I have tested it on my pc and it worked and the slic table is all working and activated windows 7 oem with the supplied Toshiba cert.

I can only vouch for the intel GPU chipset model bios and note I used the winphlash package by executing the original manufactures script directly.

many thanks for your help.
