Available Intel For SATA RAID Option ROMS
#1
Hey Everyone

Heres the start of a list containing the available Intel For SATA RAID option roms at the moment that we have access to.

Intel Raid For SATA - v3.0.0.2344
Intel Raid For SATA - v3.5.0.2568
Intel Raid For SATA - v3.5.0.3003
Intel Raid For SATA - v5.0.0.1032
Intel Raid For SATA - v5.6.2.1002
Intel Raid For SATA - v5.7.0.1011
Intel Raid For SATA - v6.0.0.1022
Intel Raid For SATA - v7.5.0.1017
Intel Raid For SATA - v7.6.0.1011
Intel Raid For SATA - v8.0.0.1006
Intel Raid For SATA - v8.0.0.1030
Intel Raid For SATA - v8.0.0.1038
Intel Raid For SATA - v8.0.0.1039
Intel Raid For SATA - v8.5.0.1030
Intel Raid For SATA - v8.6.0.1007
Intel Raid For SATA - v8.7.0.1007
Intel Raid For SATA - v8.8.0.1009
Intel Raid For SATA - v8.9.0.1023
Intel Raid For SATA - v8.9.1.1002
Intel Raid For SATA - v9.5.0.1021
Intel Raid For SATA - v9.5.0.1037
Intel Raid For SATA - v9.6.0.1014

Please note that not necessarily the latest version will work with your board and it may take several attempts to get right. E.g. You probably cant go from v3.0.0.2344 to v9.5.0.1037 as each chipset has a limitation with what RAID rom it can support. Some further research shows some doubt that we will be able to use ver 9.x+ RAID Roms on chipset prior to P55, due to the completel design overhall brought by the chipset.

If you have access to a ROM version which isnt in this list , we encourage you to post it!

Regards

Newer still: 10.5.0.1034. Station Drivers reports ICH8-10 support.

There's a 10.6 ROM but I don't know how to extract it from an Intel BIOS.

Feel free to use/link/host any BIOS I post, no credit necessary. However, this is at your own risk and I take no responsibility. Always keep a backup of a known-good BIOS. Don't flash a motherboard if you don't have a backup computer just in case.

Always use RAID mode. RAIDFix

which rom gives the best performance on x58 ich10r?

im using i think, 10.1 from the 83 ftw3 132-gt-e768 bios orom, I think.  and using 10.8 chipset drivers.  a 10.1 orom and these 10.8 drivers, tried both the STOR raid drivers and the sata drivers.  the stor drivers give me an express chipset storage controller device.  but My write speeds on my ssds, are more like a 244mb instead of near to sata2.

I extracted my PCI rom B or 3 or 2 or somethign like that i think it was from my e76883 bios stock default, and I'm going to upload it.  I dont suggest anyone tries it.  i was just wondering if someone would look at it.

Which way i tell which oRom is installed to my computer?

but here is the rom from the bios and someone else can mess with it, i wouldnt suggest flashing it unless you know how to use it or use it with the 132-gt e768 board.  this is the name it was in the bios, 83.
------ok quit edit here with this.

this is intel option 10.5 i checked in raid settings.

Ive disabled marvell raid controller and sata and ide, the sata 3 options. turned off to make sure it wasnt slowing down my ssds on the intel ich10r. guess ill test a couple other firmware.--------
My computer tells me, Trim is enabled. hardrive speeds are dropped about good 10-20%.

Intel Orom in this is 10.5
