How to update AGESA module
#1
I've modded a bios (the bios date is 10/12/09) released by DFI in order to let my MB(DFI JR 790GX-M2RS) to support AMD Phenom II X6,the AGESACPU.ROM and NCPUCODE.BIN were from the bios for DFI JR 790GX-M3H5.
I did that in cbrom(ver 1.96) as below:
1\ extracted AGESACPU.ROM and NCPUCODE.BIN from M3H5.BIN(BIOS file name)
2\ added AGESACPU.ROM & NCPUCODE.BIN to M2RS.BIN(BIOS file name) with commands:
cbrom M2RS.BIN /GV3 AGESACPU.ROM
cbrom M2RS.BIN /nc_cpucode NCPUCODE.BIN
3\ I opened the modded BIOS(MOD.BIN) and M2RS.BIN & M3H5.BIN in winhex 15.9
and found key words "AGESA V3.7.0.1" in M3H5.BIN compared which "AGESA V3.2.2.2" in M2RS.BIN & MOD.BIN.

So,I was confused by those key words. Should I edit the "AGESA [censored]" block by copying the newer codes and overwriting the older ones? If that ,how to do?
I can not distinguish the start address or the end address of "AGESA [censored]" block.
It seems that cbrom has no use in updating those blocks. Sad
