ACPI tables fix request for Insyde bios: Need expert opinion
#1
Question
Hi,
I understand that it is a bios unlocking section but since there are so many expert users here I thought I better ask my question here. BTW I do have access to all the hidden sections of the bios by pressing F10 and then quickly 'A' on boot menu.

Problem I am facing is that my HP dv7-6b32us Laptop would not let me install Win XP due to ACPI.sys error during installation. Most likely bios uses a non standard ACPI table. I was wondering if there is any option in BIOS that I can switch to fix the issue. I have also read that some expert can 'fix' the ACPI table in a bios. Here is the Link to F19 bios of my HP dv7-6b32us Laptop:
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp57001-57500/sp57474.exe

Now HP has a similarly configured business laptop model which does support Win-XP and has standard ACPI support. I was wondering if someone can maybe replace the ACPI tables on my laptop ( dv7-6b32us ) with one from business model (HP EliteBook 8460w). Here is the link to F26 bios of HP EliteBook 8460w:
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp57501-58000/sp57643.exe

I would greatly appreciate any help and would be willing to compensate for your time.

Just an update with RW-Everything report:
===============================

Problem I am facing is that my HP dv7-6b32us Laptop would not let me install Windows XP due to ACPI.sys error during installation (please note: it is not a SATA or AHCI driver related error). Most likely bios uses a non standard ACPI table. I was wondering if there is any option in BIOS that I can switch to fix the issue. I have also read that some experts can 'fix' the ACPI table in a bios. Following is the complete error code that I am getting:

STOP: 0x0000007E (0xC0000005, 0XF73B9D66, 0xF78ADEA4, 0xF78ADBA0)
acpi.sys - Address F73B9D66 base at F73AE000, DateStamp 480252b1

I was wondering if someone can locate the base address of error in RW-Everything report or if there is any other way to diagnose and troubleshoot the problem.

-Manufacturer: HP
-Motherboard Model: HP dv7-6b32us
-Bios revision: F19
-Bios Type: Insyde
-Bios Download Link: http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp57001-57500/sp57474.exe
-RW Everything Report Download Link: http://www.datafilehost.com/download-23c95b6c.html

I do have another laptop from Asus which uses same chipset (HM65) and do not give this error. I can post RW-everyting report for that bios also in case if it is useful to compare both reports.

Thanks in advance.
