Are Flashrom files an acceptable format?
#1
I am wondering if Flashrom files are an acceptable format to ask for mods of. They are binary dumps of the entire flash memory chip, and generally can only be written with an external programmer, such as a Beaglebone Black or Raspberry Pi. It is easier for me to use them as I do not need to boot a Windows install to flash or dump it, and it can modify even write-protected areas of the chip. Does anyone know if this would be harder or easier to mod than normal, and why?
