Hi, I have used this modified BIOS on my TM2T-2100 and my new Intel 7260 AC module was recognized and works at full speed! Can't be more happy! Great job!
But here is a problem. I can't access Bios, I can't choose a boot device. So I can't re install Windows.

Any suggestions?

So I found the whitelist removed bios here and installed it. Now the 702 message on boot is removed and I can install the drivers for the wireless card (an Intel ax210 knockoff.) The problem is in my Windows 10 it is showing the wifi is turned off. Running the troubleshooter it tells me to switch wifi on but my laptop doesnt have a hardware switch, just buttons. It says "problem found: wireless capability turned off." The button and the keyboard hotkey do not change anything. Oddly enough with the AX210 installed the bluetooth works fine and the wireless button shows white as if its enabled.

After troubleshooting for awhile I decided maybe the ax210 is just too new and not actually compatible. I uninstalled the drivers and replaced it with a Dell Wireless 1705 I had laying around as the original Ralink is failing. When I booted and installed the drivers I have the SAME PROBLEM but with the wireless button showing orange and still windows saying the wifi is off. Pressing the wireless on buttons does nothing once again. I can try a third card but this seems to be more than a coincidence. Both these wireless chips worked in another laptop before.

Someone in a forum said he accidentally got a similar card working in his hp by installing it while the computer was in hibernation but when he restarted it was turned off. It was the conclusion that maybe besides the whitelist something in BIOS is disabling the wireless on boot whether through intentional HP fuckery to prevent "unsupported cards" or unintentional through failing to link the wireless on/off toggle to the actual wireless card installed. Im hoping someone out there can add some insight. If I could disable the wireless buttons and make sure the wireless is ALWAYS on i would be very happy. I almost never fly on planes and when I do I dont feel the need to have my laptop out anyway... Thanks!

You are a LEGEND! Taping pin 20 worked perfectly. Lucky I actually had Kapton tape, 3 months ago I didnt even know what it was but I needed it for a hybrid battery rebuild. Afterwards I just had to reinstall the drivers and the Intel application said "repair completed successfully." Finally seeing 150mbps-ish. The old card would top out at 12 download and 20 upload but would periodically drop down to 1 or less (basically dial up speeds.)

Good to get an old laptop back up and running. Still one of the best convertible laptops imo and fantastic for freehand drawing.
