I have HP BOSTON MS-7525 rev.1 , Award BIOS Type Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG ver 5.31 , and Intel Xeon L5420 (mod. Socket to 775).

Will the L5420 can work on this HP BOSTON MS-7525 rev.1?

And can I use this mod. bios with Award_WinFlash_1.94 for Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG on my Window7-64 bit ?

Thank you

Will this BIOS mod allow me to use a Core 2 Quad Q9300 (that I already have) in the MS-7525?

I just went ahead & flashed the BIOS, using Award WinFlash 1.94. I then swapped the CPU for the Core 2 Quad Q9300. IT WORKS. It boots with no problems. Clock speeds are all correct. CPU name is displayed correctly, & all four cores are detected, by Win 7 x64.

Mobo has 2x 2GB DDR2 800 already on it. I will now install it with some old stuff laying around, a Thermaltake 850W PSU, XFX Radeon HD 6970 2GB, a Creative SB X-Fi Platinum Fatal1ty, a generic PCI-E Wi-Fi card, & maybe an SSD. Only a decent quad core is worthy of this setup, & maybe later I'll get a Xeon.
Thanks DeathBringer for making it possible to use this CPU & mobo together!
