Here you go , i used Gigabyte 2.1 SLIC + Certificate Included:-

1. Copy and paste ******.XRM-MS certificate file into C-Drive.

2. After pasting this file into C-Drive, go to START - ALL PROGRAMS - ACCESSORIES - COMMAND PROMPT. Right click on Command Prompt and RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR.

3. When Command Prompt opens, type at the prompt: slmgr.vbs -ilc c:\********.xrm-ms and hit the Enter Button. Wait for the Script Host to answer you with a message that the license was installed successfully....this could take a few minutes and so be patient.

4. After receiving the message that the license was installed successfully, type at the command prompt:

slmgr.vbs -ipk *****-*****-*****-*****-***** (Replace with any OEM SLP Product Key for your installed version of Windows 7 , they are not hard to find).Be Patient and wait for the message to say that the Product Key was successfully installed. After it says successfully installed, reboot the computer.

5. When you are back at your desktop, go to START - COMPUTER - right click on Computer and choose PROPERTIES and see if it is activated with an OEM product ID.

Thank you very much.

I haven't installed W7 yet but I have the x64 RTM ISO ready to go. Are these steps necessary after installation or will the installer pick up the Certificate automatically?

Thanks,
Flashing went fine using the @BIOS windows app. I'll give the W7 installation a go over the weekend and confirm the results back here.

Cheers,
Chalky

Edit: Sorry - I haven't had a chance to install yet, will do soon.

Is it possible to update this BIOS with the ASUS cert? I'm having issues with WGA all of a sudden because I used an invalid key for W7Ultimate and cant find an OEM one for GIGABYTE.

ACPI Table as specified in current request instructions.

Chalky...

I saw you posted another activation question ( http://bit.ly/18aAACD ). Did you get your activation resolved? or did you give up on the Gigabyte cert?

I have an EP45-UD3R (v1.1) with a Dell cert......but have found all sorts of of info (including OEM certs) on the MyDigitalLife forums over the last several years.

If you can't find anything there, I can dig around my archived files. I could have the Asus cert your seeking.

Let me know.

Hello 1234s282,

the above link appears to be dead.
Is it at all possible to have another link to the modified bios posted?

Thanks kindly,

Mark
