Hi

I'm new here, i have 2 laptop's one Toshiba L505-13E with the i3 330M 4 Gb Ram with Mobil Radeon 5165 and the second i upgrade the cpu from i330 M to i7 740QM without the need to upgrade the bios with modded bios, the problem with this upgrade is the heating, the solution to this problem is disable the Turbo Boost, and was the only way to put 8 Gb in the laptop.

Sorry for my bad English

Make TXT-report of CPU-Z, zip and attach.

Hello everyone!
I understand that the Toshiba Satellite L500-1XZ laptop is already morally outdated, and for many, it's become a part of memories. But maybe someone can help: has a solution to the issue of starting a processor with stepping K0 not appeared?
And what is the current BIOS version for it?
On the Toshiba support website, it's no longer possible to download old BIOS versions ((

I've read this topic a couple of times, but as they say - 'hope dies last'. Maybe something has changed over the decade. And the links to the BIOS versions that were posted are no longer working ((.

There are no BIOS mods that support K0 stepping.

Please, advise. I downloaded BIOS v 1.4 from the Toshiba website, where the release-notes mention the addition of K0 stepping. However, the firmware itself is 12 MB. For similar laptops, there's v2.1 available on the internet, which is 4 MB in size. So, one of them must not be for it.

What is the capacity of the flash memory in it?

For example, part of release-notes v1.4:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
README.TXT 2010-12-07 CDC
ACPI Flash BIOS version 1.40 for Satellite/Satellite Pro L500/L505/L515

This BIOS is applicable to the following models:

o Satellite L500/L505 models having part numbers beginning with "PSLU6U"
o Satellite L515 models having part numbers beginning with "PSLGJU"
o Satellite Pro L500 models having part numbers beginning with "PSLU7U"

For purposes of this document, the term "Satellite L515"
is used to generically refer to all of the models listed above.
........
Version 1.40 2010-09-14
o Updated: PCH BRC from 1.05 to 1.06.
o Updated: Arrandale MRC from 1.30 to 1.40.
o Updated: Nehalem Processor Family to BWG 0.7.

Version 1.30 2010-05-18
o Updated the Arrandale MRC to 1.30 and added Arrandale K0 stepping
(CPUID: 20655) Microcode.
o Updated the PPM reference code to 0.63-1.
o Updated the Arrandale K0 stepping micro code m9220655_00000002.
o Updated the Clarksfield RC to 1.30-1.

This BIOS is for a different type of the motherboard.
I've attached extracted BIOS 1.40
