Have you tried disabling the marvell controller.   You did not list that as currently utilized... Your other option is to run S22t with Intel OROM 10.x. that will fit everything in the 1MB of memory.

I would also suggest a complete change to optimize speeds.  Of course this may require backup/format/restore of data to complete....
move HDD raid0 to Marvell SATA3 controller.  This controller is a bit slow for fast SSD drives, but works beautifully with spindle drives. (my WD Black raid-1 benchmarked the best here.) Move your SSD drive to the Intel Controller in AHCI mode.  (SATA2 just like the jMicron, but we can disable the jMicron to free up BIOS memory space).  Finally disable the jMicron controller and everything should fit in BIOS memory and run at the best benchmarks for your drives.

Sorry, I don't understand where to disable Jmicron or Marvell controller Sad

I have the same settings on this page, besides 1394 is off

There are only sata (intel?) and sata6G (marvell?) controllers in bios and I use both as I'd stated before. So what am I missing?

Due to your advice, I've disabled Onboard SATA controller and the error is gone.
I don't now if there was any consequences from that error message or not, but it is pleasure not to have it now Smile

It just meant that one of your option ROM's could not fit in the 1mb of BIOS memory.  the system simply disables the device to continue.   with the extra device turned off, the remaining modules DO fit in the memory and thus no error message.

BIOS Details:
Built from latest R3E BIOS (BETA) version.  As I understand it,  the only change from the official 1502 and the latest available 1601 R3E beta bios was Memory Compatibility.

The individual Option ROMs were then updated to newer firmware and/or BIOS versions.  Option ROMs updated are IRST (Intel SATA/RAID Controller), Marvell (SATA-6G), Jmicron (PATA), NIC and injected ASUS SLIC 2.1 tables:

Marvell 91xx SATA 6G Controller - Firmware: v2.1.0.1413
Marvell 91xx SATA 6G Controller - Bootloader: v1.0.1.0002b*
JMicron JMB36X Controller: v1.08.01 (AHCI Patched)
INTEL 82567V-2 Gigabit Network: v1.5.50
SLIC 2.1: ASUS (SSV3/MMtool method)

WHICH TO CHOOSE:
Which to use:

Flash Sxx:
If you want Intel SATA in RAID mode AND you run Windows 10.
Windows 10 requires updated RST software, which in turn requires newer ROM for compatibility.

Flash Sxxi:
If you run Intel SATA in AHCI mode AND you run Windows 10.  Safe in AHCI or RAID in any other OS (win7/*nix).
As no RST software compatibility needs to be overcome, it is best to run the proper ROM for our ICH10 chipset.  (fastest benchmarks with this ROM).

Flash Sxxt:
If you need ALL the add-on hardware enabled at the same time.
the newer NIC OROM takes up too much memory to fit everything.  This one uses the older/smaller OROM that can still fit in BIOS memory with all the other devices enabled.

Forgive my question if it's stupid, but "Which to choose" section seems to only offer options for Windows 10 or "All the add-on hardware enabled". Is there a version that will work with Windows 7? I can't increase my ram frequency past 1333MHz and I'm suspecting it's because of the BIOS version. I'm using the Asus stock 1501. And what does "All the add-on hardware enabled" mean?

Nonetheless, having been running my system with the latest official BIOS 1502 for like forever, 24/7, 100% stable , I am now considering to upgrade to a modded BIOS to enable ICH10R Raided SSD TRIM, get better SSD RAID performance and perhaps a bit longer SSD life. Right now I have 2 raids set up on the ICH10R (the 2 RAIDs consisting of 2 SSDs each both configured as RAID 0, i.e. 4 SSD in total).
I also have 2 HDs also connected to the on chip SATA ports (ICH10R).
my C: boot drive consist of 2 Samsung 850 EVO 1GB SSD RAIDed 0 installed on a Apricorn Velocity Duo SSD PCIe card. Works really well. TRIM works for the great as well.

I am running windows 10 Pro x64 v1809. Current installed intel storage controller driver "iastorav" version v15.44.0.1010. No idea how that happened. 


The question is: which BIOS should I upgrade to? And what drivers should I use given windows 10 x64 with Raided SSDs etc do v15.44.0.1010 still work?

Here is what I have set up currently:

Following features are disabled:
- Hi def Audio - I have a separate sound card
- on board SATA6G controller


The rest is enabled:
- on board SATA controller
- on board GbE controller (but  GbE LAN boot and GbE wake up is disabled)
- on board 1394 controller

- S22?
- S22i?
- S22t?

Yes, newer drivers operate with the older OROM.  However, they do not work any better/faster than the v13.x driver, because of the v13.x OROM.  Newer drivers attempt to enable/utilize newer features and just rolls back to disabled with the v13 OROM.  Past benchmarking found that staying with the same driver version that matches your OROM version give the best performance.  (At least for me, it did)
