Acer Aspire M5100 R02-B3 With Dell 2.1 SLIC

Hi,

I'm new on this forum and I'm trying to get some help about a problem with a BIOS update.
I have an Acer Aspire M5100 Desktop and I was trying to install windows 7 ultimate, well I had some problems after install it and I decided to upgrade the BIOS. I check Acer website and I found this BIOS release R02-B1.
I put the files on a bootable disquette and run the bat file that execute the bios update. It run fine but when the PC restart, it doesn't work anymore.
When it boots seems to load the CMOS data, beeps once and restart immediately, and that process repeats continuously.
Does someone knows what can I do to flash the BIOS? I'd read about a function names boot block that works with a jumper I can't find on the board.
I already test doing a normal Clear CMOS with its jumper, with no results.
Please help me!!!!,

as this is an AMI BIOS please follow the recovery instructions at http://www.bios-mods.com/amirecovery.html before doing anything else.

Sounds like a bad flash. Did you run from DOS? (Im presuming you did because you say you made a bootable disk)

Try following the recovery instructions to restore the original bios , then try our modded one again

Model: Aspire AM5100-E5303A (M5100)
MB: F690GVM
BIOS: R02-B1
SLIC: ACER 2.1


BOOT BLOCK MUST BE UNLOCKED IN BIOS BEFORE FLASHING OR MB WILL BE BRICKED AND YOUR FRACKED!!!!

There is NO BIOS recovery for this MB other than NEW BIOS Chip or Hot Flash.
