#31

I would know only to confrme that significant parameters are all threre as UUID, Laptop Serial, MAC address, etc. so that can archive this modify as well !
Many thanks for your efforts and to FjFc for mod !
Only to do some clarify ME Region + GBE + PDR are hidden in an Header prog so when Extract Bios Region that has this string "_FVH" = Firmware Volume Header You get only
Bios Region, meanwhile the rest is hidden and You can get only from Bios Backup as BDMaster said o FjFc and He correct the procedure !!!
That's true as if You open the Bios Backup by UEFI Tool (Great CodeRush) You'll find all Regions listed and can observe starting offsets and lens too !
otherwise UEFI Tool opening the first 2MB FjFc file give only Bios Region and shows some error on FFS Invalid Size and ParseBios error 19 !!!
But if You cut all FF fillers before 00000000000000000000000000000000D954937A68044A4481CE0BF617D890DF00F01000000000005F465648
or better You extract from BA52V107.fd Original Bios file only Bios Region cutting from starting file offset address 0x000000 to 0x0032000 then
UEFI Tool will not give any error and the file is just correct ! We can use the _PSW_ Signature to look for Bios Region and do the same work !
So to get Whole Bios needs a Bios Backup, then It's possible to Re-Create Bios Virgin (who said these words ? not shure FjFc but BDMaster !!!)
There are many Others things to say about the discoveries done on Bios Enapsulated, but anyone get own !!!
Many thanks

Hey! I have got a HP G61-465SL and I have a bios problem with it too.
But the laptop wont start at all now. But no password problem this time.
Can you make the bios file in the same way as you did for Acer Travelmate 5744?
I want to flash the bios in the same way as I did in the case of Acer Travelmate 5744, using SPIGM Programmer.
Please make a full .bin file of bios so that laptop can start too.
I have tried an another bios but with that bios, the laptop gets powered on but with no display.

Here's the original bios link from hp: http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp51501-52000/sp51527.exe
And here is the link to the bios which I backed up, it lets the power on but no display: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwFIEm0...sp=sharing

Kushal, BDMaster, what a great experiment we had!! I'm very happy with the success, learnt a lot from it.

I'll take a look at this HP BIOS later!

Kushal, seems like RSA signed and check, ahve you already tried the default HP recovery procedure??

http://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-HP...ery-by-USB

About the 4BM file for ACER, I just realised that there's no need to use external programmer on it, the file could have been flashed by recovery, I'm almost sure of that... Just needed to rename it to the right name

I cant get it whatever has been told there.
Please give me a step by step procedure.
But, honestly, I don't think that USB METHOD will work. Because I cannot see any display either through VGA Port or through its own Display.
And also, I downloaded all the tools which you've told me in the list.
IDA , HXD, PhoenixTool, UEFI Tool. Please PM me the webpage giving instruction on how to use these tools. So that I can easily modify BIOS and get it the way I want it to be.

I tried everything as described but nothing worked.
I also looked for other websites too for the problem but nothing worked. (Wincrisis, HP UEFI environment, holding Windows+B Keys)
Only Laptop turns ON without any display and Caps Lock blink 3 times in a sequence. I know this is a of MEMORY MODULE FAILURE. But I tried changing RAM. Nothing worked out. They say its a bios problem.
Now all I need is a complete bios .bin file which I can flash using SPIPGM and get it working.
