Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe Full AM3 Support
Ok, with a PS2 keyboard the bios can be operated just fine.

I set the multiplier to x16, save, start Windows and Windows shows that the CPU is running on 3.2GHz....which it is NOT....CPU-Z shows that it is running on 800MHz.

So PhenomTweaker is a must...unless there are alternatives ?

How do I manage to make Phenomtweaker apply the settings automatically?

The picture in the middle, use this settings and the cpu goes to 16x on 25% load
and back to x4 on 20% load
set p-state bounds 0 - 1

i use CPU-Z or Core Temp 0.99.8 to watch if it work

Hi,

I have been using PhenomTweaker but every time you start Windows you have to manually click APPLY, right? Would be nice if the service started automatically

I will have a look at CPU Teaker..or something similar..forgot the name

My USB keyboard is useless for the BIOS, but a PS2 keyboard works 100%

I think going for a 940 and having no compability issues is the way to go!

For me it works also on systemstart...

Set your p-states settings, apply,

go to service... update...
make p-states settings permanent

Enable custom Cool & Quit, Apply

now it should work on every systemstart Huh

Great that you guys are still working on this great motherboard.

I used to have it running with a 5600+ but now I'm able to get a ahtlon II X2 245 (2nd hand), will it be able to run using any of the custom made BIOSes you guys released here or are they all just aimed at the phenoms and is it impossible to get it going ?

The Ahtlon IIs works with with any recent BIOS.

Recent as in your BIOSes or the ones Asus lists on their official website ?

Both actually (and it is not "my" BIOS, I am not not a BIOS-modder. I only happen to have experience with these motherboards).

quick story short. the cpu i purchased, a phenom x4 9950 at tigerdirect was doa and they have no more in stock so they upgraded me +$20 from my original purchase. ok not really that cool since the only cpu to choose was the phenom ii x4 840(glorified athlon ii x4). quick questions on what to expect. i flashed the bios to 1804 from the asus website for the 9950. i am pretty sure this bios will post and work with the phenom ii x4 840. my question is for compatibility issues regarding the features of this cpu, will i need to flash to 5001? is 1804 good enough for this cpu? i can not find it on the supported list although i see the athlon ii x4 640, it says bios 5001 but when you click go it takes you to 1804. after reading i see that 1804 was released after 5001 so you would think this is an update. i also have read the changes they made in 5001 were not implemented in 1804, was this because they fixed the issues that were caused by the functions they removed in the 5001? in your opinion should i use the 1804, 5001 or snag the 1901 that you released for this motherboard. yes i have m2n-sli deluxe, still not ready to let this thing go :p thanks in advance.
