BIOS Update for 7850 Black Edition on MCP61SM
#11
Hmm I got this eror I forgot to mention when I tried the Bios update from Acer Before.

(on board bios not award BIOS)

Will this have any affect updating with above mentioned BIOS? Will I get the same error? and also at this point I don't want to risk anything and just use the 5800 do I need to update the BIOS I currently have the R01-B3 ...

To use the 5800 you should not have to update your BIOS, however if you want full OC options and an unlocked BIOS you will need to use the guide in the previous post.

awdflash M613Z_19.BIN /py /sn /cc / cd /cp /wb /r

I'm stuck on this part do I use this BIN ^ or the one you provided abit_unlocked.Bin

I used the abit unlocked one but nothing happens it just shows some lines of information with the c command at the bottom.

Ooops I forgot the /cc lol gonna try it again.

Dang same thing it said I was missing something Nforce Mac Guide with /wb. lol I dunno

Can you attach a picture of what's going on I've never heard of that in all my life.

Ohhh I think its talking about the MAC on the LAN will be changed on the flash. I'm pretty sure a /f to the command line will force it to start the flash.

And I HIGHLY reccommend not flashing till I give the thumbs up Big Grin

I dont really enjoy bumping old post. But this is exactly what I'm searching for.
Unfortunately 1234s282's bios mod link doesn't work anymore.

1234s282 or anyone else have a link to the flash for the MCP61SM-AM that will support the 7850 black edition? (The cpu was a gift, but im WAY too poor to afford another CPU or MOBO. Please. Smile

You may try this at your own risk:

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/747181/Retail%20...34s282.zip

I took the Retail Abit Unlocked bios and added microcodes / updated AGESA module for theoretical Kuma Support.

Let us know how you go
