Biostar A780L3C support CPU Athlom II x4 640
#1
Good morning, I would like to please ask if it is possible for someone to help me with the modification of the BIOS for the motherboard to Biostar A780L3C, the Athlom II x4 640 does not appear in the list of processors and I would like to know if it is possible to add it to the BIOS so that it is accepted since I have one, I looked and identical processors appear as compatible in general characteristics with the difference in speed, if someone can help me I would really appreciate it please.

Post a screenshot of Mainboard tab of CPU-Z.
Explain exactly what happens when you try to boot with new CPU.

Thanks for answering, when I put the athlon x4 640 it does nothing, it does not give video, I know it is good because it was tested on a friend's PC and it turns on without problems, also my friend has an athlon x4 645 which works perfectly on my PC as well as a phenom x4 955 which work perfectly on my PC

That's why I went to the official website of the motherboard and I could see that the atlhon x4 640 is not there, it appears from the atlhon x4 635 series and jumps to the x4 645, that is, the 640 is left out

I don't know what to do, I already updated the bios to the latest version, I checked the good condition of the cpu on another motherboard, my motherboard works perfectly with other cpu's even with higher performance like an athlon ii x4 645 and a phenom x4 955 ☹️

Try rolling to previous versions.
