Bricked motherboard - Not recognizing ROM.
#1
I tried to update my Asus p5b Deluxe motherboard, but failed while trying to flash my bios through windows update program. (big mistake).

I've tried to recover my bios through various means, but am unable to.
My pc doesn't recognize my Disk Drive, when I put a floppy in with the appropriate ROM. not even after ctrl + home or ctrl + F9, like suggested on this forum.
Flashdrive isn't being recognized either.

It does however see the cdrom drive. I have put in the recovery cd from asus as suggested in the manual, but there is a problem. Either it doesn't work or I have to do something, like selecting something or confirming something. Which is a problem, since all I have is a black screen (appearently is normal for my motherboard, from what I have researched). I tried mashing enter and pretty much every other button on my keyboard without avail.
Is the Asus recovery cd suppose flash the ROM by itself or am I suppose to select or click something? I don't even know and I haven't been able to find out.
I tried making a new dvd with afurom and my ROM on there and changed the name to several suggested variations, like P5BDELUXE.ROM, AMIBOOT.ROM, P5BD.ROM, P5BRE.ROM.
I tried to use commands and blind type with commands like "afurom p5bdeluxe.rom", etc.

I tried a whole bunch of options that I found on the internet. Even tried to take out the BIOS battery and activated the BIOS reset jumper. Nothing worked.

Does anyone have any idea what I could do next? Perhaps someone knows the precise key combination that I have to press when I put in a dvd with a ROM on it or perhaps when I put in the Asus recovery cd?

I have the keyboard connected to PS2, so that should be alright.
I have a Black screen. That never changes.
I don't hear any bios beep, ever.

If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. I have been working on this for a few days now and starting to run out of ideas.
