Here you go , i used Dell 2.1 SLIC + Certificate Included:-

1. Copy and paste ******.XRM-MS certificate file into C-Drive.

2. After pasting this file into C-Drive, go to START - ALL PROGRAMS - ACCESSORIES - COMMAND PROMPT. Right click on Command Prompt and RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR.

3. When Command Prompt opens, type at the prompt: slmgr.vbs -ilc c:\********.xrm-ms and hit the Enter Button. Wait for the Script Host to answer you with a message that the license was installed successfully....this could take a few minutes and so be patient.

4. After receiving the message that the license was installed successfully, type at the command prompt:

slmgr.vbs -ipk *****-*****-*****-*****-***** (Replace with any OEM SLP Product Key for your installed version of Windows 7 , they are not hard to find).Be Patient and wait for the message to say that the Product Key was successfully installed. After it says successfully installed, reboot the computer.

5. When you are back at your desktop, go to START - COMPUTER - right click on Computer and choose PROPERTIES and see if it is activated with an OEM product ID.

hi 1234s282,

it works perfect man!

i used an oem dvd from dell with 7 professional 32-bit on it, made a fresh a install and there is no need of a certificate...

when i restarted for first time and checked system properties it was automatically activated!

thanks a lot for your work and effort, i wish i could give you a donation but haven´t got too much money man... ask dell for it, you deserve it Big Grin

This slic 2.1 rom would not activate for me. I used the modded rom from this forum and it work perfectly. If you have problems with this rom, try the one in the attached file called "SLICM09_GX620A11.rar"

Hello, i am trying to update my bios on my dell gx520 to run a pre/reinstalation dell oem disk of windows 7 pro 32bit. Have flashed the bios you gave, and checked that there is a slic 2.1 in the bios now.
Have run the licence file you gave DELL-DELL-2.0.xrm-ms , is this the right file? should it not be 2.1???. Anyway says licence change succcessful. Then windows 7 says 2 days till automatic activation, i.e it is not activated.

I thought the reinstallation disk did not need anything else, I have reinstalled win7 on my other newer dell760 and it just installs and activates straight away without any coa key.

Do i need a coa key aswell? If so why? and would any do?
Or is it that this slic only works for a particular version of win 7 (pro, ultimate, 32bit ,64 bit).
any help or advice greatly appreciated
thanks
