Hello,
I was wondering if it is possible to use 4gb ram on Intel 915PM chipset. This is old laptop, but I have some free time now so I decided to try it.
I've bought DDR2 Samsung M470T5663EH3-CF7 2 GB ram, two sticks. With only one laptop boots normally, with two inserted it turns on for 5 seconds and then turns off. I've tried to do it on every bios available. Is there any option to modify bios so it could use 4gb of ram? I've heard about modifying
ram tables but it's all new to me. The only experience with modifying bios I had was with updating bios with cpu microcodes and that's it. So, could anyone help me with this or give some tips? I would be very thankful
