Disable signature
#1
Hello, I have modified HP BIOS with H20EZE, but now InsydeFlash won't flash BIOS because signature is different.

How to flash without signature?

Nope, still not enough really, there is severalMANY G4 models. Please give me your full model name off the sticker on bottom of system, and link me to your stock BIOS download from HP

Also, what did you modify, and how? Please also attach your mod BIOS if you want it check out, if you are unsure if mod is OK or not.
This check has nothing to do with signature, only wanted to check to be sure your mod BIOS is OK in general as it's very easy to break a BIOS with wrong edit or wrong tools etc and even if it looks OK in tools after mod it can still be easily broken and you might not notice.

hp pavilion g4 1311nr

I used H20EZE 100.00.2.13.

Also used InsydeFlash .exe that was made for this laptop by using 7-zip to extract the BIOS update .exe.

You need to rename the attached file from .zip to .fd since the forum won't let me attach it.

Attached Files
.zip   Insyde-F.46.zip (Size: 2 MB / Downloads: 4)

Please show me exact error you get when you try to flash your mod BIOS (Which I assume is the above attached file, correct?)
If the above file is not your modified BIOS file, please attach it as requested so I can check your mod is OK or not.

* Edit - OK yes, I can see this is your edited BIOS, there is error I expected since I assumed you used EZE = CRC32 checksum error at setup
This is bad mod, may not be the main reason for your flashing error, but luckily it stopped you from flashing due to this and or security too.
Fix this error and try again, then show me the error you get. Rebuild GUID FC1BCDB0-7D31-49AA-936A-A4600D9DD083 with UEFITool

And if you want to attach some .fd file, obviously put it in an actual zip, why leave it full size and then name zip?

Is this your stock BIOS F.6d - https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp65501-6...p65659.exe
From this page - https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/sel...el/5218639

If yes, there is 4 BIOS files in there, that all need decrypted, which is for your system? Are you sure you're editing and using the correct BIOS?
Which is your platform ID you see when flashing stock BIOS?
PlatformName1=165C
PlatformName2=165D
PlatformName3=1660
