Can I have the whitelist bypassed for the following:

-Manufacturer: HP
-Motherboard Model: dm4-2070US
-Bios revision: f.04
-Bios Type: insyde
-Bios Download Link: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp53001-53500/sp53126.exe

The Id's of my current Wifi card:
Current: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0084&SUBSYS_13158086&REV_00

The Id's of the new card:
New: PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_002E&SUBSYS_E030105B&REV_01

Also I have a dump of the bios here: http://www.mediafire.com/?rz8d033ec6j8tnq

Thanks in advance.

Ensure you have proper tools to recover in case of something goes wrong.

Flash with included InsydeFlash.exe

Download and flash at your own risk Wink

I couldn't flash it in windows so I use the recovery method. After the Flash I swapped the wifi cards, but I still get stopped.

Why did you could not flash in windows???? With fake sig i doubt it can be possible to flash from the recovery.

Thank you so much, I actually figured out what happened. In the end nothing flashed b/c This laptop came with a UEFI Bios recovery partition that blocked the update, I deleted the partition and tried the first and again and voila it worked!!!

Can you please tell me exactly what you did? I really am curios to know.

So the first file effectively bypassed whitelist check?

Can you now swap wifi card and the error is gone and the new card work fine?

I used Andy's tool to open/repack bios, once opened and with the modules split i looked for the one that manages white list, used IDAPro to dissassemble it and patched the check. That's it.

Thank you for trying to help.
I tried your BIOS. The notebook works, but the new wifi module (I want to replace the native broadcom module to the module from intel) notebook will not accept it. The new module works fine in other notebook. When i boot the notebook a message appears that in the screenshot.
Can i do something with this?
Thanks in advance, and Sorry for my bad English.

Is that the same error like with unmodded bios or did the error change?

This is the same error. And it seems my case can not be fixed by removing WiFi whitelist...
But it is known that the modified bios does not break the notebook, and it may be useful to someone else.
Thank you for trying to help.
