I dont recall if this is the site that I got it from,
But i have been using the unlocked 3.15 for probably 18 months now on one of my secondary pc's and it works like a charm. It was a little stubborn going on, I had to recover the original by playing with the cmos once or twice but after a couple times of it saying "not award bios" it finally let me put it on, its %100 Stable.

Thanks to whoever unlocked it.

Is RAID enabled in that bios? If so, do you have a copy of it and can make it available?

Dumb question from newbie. First I tried clockgen and was surprised how much of a gain that was. So I decided I wanted To play with the BIOS. But as I said these is new to me. ( I've read a hole lot on the web & ended up here.) So I'm going to play with my back up PC. Compaq sr1710nx
A8AE-LE
3400+
2000MHz ( clockgen 2200MHz )

I read this thread and done ever thing right.. Went right on.
Restarted the PC seen it was 3.15 not 3.13 like it was.
Thought Oh Boy here we go.
But the BIOS looked the same as before. Didn't see where I could do any thing new with it.( Played with it quite awhile.)

So what am I doing wrong???

Thanks for any and all help

Thanks for getting back to me...With that said........
When I try to use your all in one . After clicking update a window pops up saying
Windows based BIOS update
Proper command line parameters were
not passed. No action taken.
Then tried the HP update before clicking yes no or cancel. Then went to run %temp%
Deleted all of theirs and coped and pasted yours. Except for the HP update. It was in use and wouldn't let me. Let it update and restart and still looked !!
Do I need to clear the cmos? Then try it.
Am I still doing something wrong?
I would really like to unlock this thing. I've put enough time into this I'm starting to take it personal.
If you know your file is good. Can you Please give me a step by step ( for dummies )

Thanks

First, I would try to get away from windows flashing and go DOS. this can be achieved by creating a USB and entering DOS. I am short on time at this second, but I will (and should for a while now) create a tutorial on properly preparing the USB for flashing.
