Ok i also wrote today same bios on HP 3400 Pro. Computer works fine have gigabyte bios and its look more modern with a more options.
I still not try  Ivy cpu but will buy one 1240 v2 and will try soon.
What i see like a "same" problem with original bios that GPU still not work (r5 240) so i put some older gpu (FirePro V3900) and that one working (on both bios).

WIll update here when i try other cpu.

I also u update bios with QFlash option from bios to the latest one F7a (beta) but still same gpu not working....

1230 V2 installed on HP3400 with gigabyte bios on it. Everything work good!

P.S.

CPUZ dont show good cpu voltage. Also in bios is wrong. But on CPUTemp monitoru is working good and showing a normal cpu voltage.

I have used an external programmer. You can try DOS utilities from the FOXCONN Bios archive at your own risk (for example, AFUDOS with key /nr - won't check ROM ID).
ps. BB3F1P13.BIN/ROM - original Foxconn bios in case if you're not going to use an NVMe SSD with a PCI-e x4 adapter.

Hi all.
I'm new here and don't know too much about bios modding/flushin etc...
I have an HP Pro 3300 micro tower running a headless ubuntu server in my house. It has a Foxconn 2ABF v.1.0 MB. The bios ver. is 7.09. It has a core i3 2100 cpu with 2 x 4Gb Ram modules.
I suppose my demands from this server has increased over time as lately I see more and more CPU and Ram maxed out.
After searching I understand that there's a way to get this motherboard to support 16gigs of ram and a Xeon e3 1225 v2. However I couldn't find a simple step by step guide on how to achieve this.
I can't figure out what bios I need for this. I can't flash the bios regularly as it's a headless ubuntu machine, and I'm not sure exactly if I can do this via USB, and exactly how to do this.
Another option would be to replace the CPU with a core i7 2700k. The question is weather this processor is supported nativly and what about the Ram.
This is a production machine so I can't afford to make mistakes that will render it unoperable.
Would anyone be willing to provide a clear answer if it is doable and how?

Thanks in advance
Itsik
