Greetings Everyone Big Grin

I have a special gift for all you Gateway owners today Big Grin

If you have ever read the readme file in any Gateway BIOS Update , you will discover that each BIOS Update can be used for several machines. Gateway do not use unique bioses in every single machine!

So what i did was log on to their FTP server , download the "Muli-Model" bioses and mod them all for SLIC 2.1. As Gateway have now been bought by Acer and there is no Gateway 2.1 SLIC , All of these mods use Acer 2.1 and have the Acer Certificate file included in the download.

Please note that this Mega thread is not in the confirmed section because these are freshly modded and nobody has tested them yet. If you would be so kind as to flash these , we would appreciate a comment back on this post stating which mega bgios you used and whether it activated or not!.

As usual , you flash these at your own risk! (Even if somebody confirms it , theres a chance it will brick!)

Il walk you through how to use these mega mods now Smile

1. Go to the Gateway support site (http://support.gateway.com/support)

2. Select your Gateway product from the menu or enter your serial number. In this example we are using the MP8708 Notebook.

3. Click the link on your model page to go to "Drivers And Downloads". Look under the "BIOS Downloads" heading

Hi, thanks for your hard work.

I've been trying to find an updated BIOS for my Gateway T-6859u with no luck. Right now it has v89.28, but Im unsure if I can use the 89.91.24. By any chance are you aware if there is one that I can use?

Sorry not that i know of. However this bios isnt available from Gateway and i would appreciate you using the tool below to create a backup of v89.28 for us to mod Smile

v84.06 does not work. The OEM_ID and OEM Table ID do not match the inserted SLIC marker. In the SLIC header and the RSDT/DSDT header are these ID's:

OEM ID "GATEWA"
OEM Table ID "SYSTEM "

SLIC marker has these ID's:

OEM ID "ACRSYS"
OEM Table ID "ACRPRDCT"

Any suggestions to how replace the RSDT/DSDT and SLIC header. I could not locate them in the Wph file.

1014129R - Gateway MT6451

Validated on an Gateway MX6453.
