Hello and advice please

Hello All - Newbie Vic here!

I have a Frankenstein pc made from left over parts that I just want to run as a media/center streamer to my tv since I have a video card with HDMI out.

It has a HP XW 4330 motherboard with a 3.4 ghz Pentium D cpu and 4 gbs of ddr2 ram. I'm running Windows 7 Home premium.

After getting a couple of errors during the boot, Specifically Error 1801 - microcode update (cpu is not listed in mbo compatibility list),
I updated the bios from the HP website to HP 756D3 ver.1.12 and I still get the error. After pressing F1 to continue with booting the pc seems to run fine.

I looked all over and searched the site, but I couldn't find anything specific to the HP XW4330.

My first question is by using a cpu that is "not campatible" going to a problem as time goes on?
Second question is there a way to change/mod the bios to avoid the pesky error code if there is no harm being done?
Or should I leave it as is?

I know it may not be worth the hassle because the mbo and cpu are old, but this is a pc that I consider disposable and don't mind learning something new on.
