Help! BIOS bricked acer e1-571
#1
Hi guys,

sorry for my bad english  Tongue

I have a bricked Acer Aspire E1-571.
I have all the necessary for try a flash using a Raspberry Pi 2 and a SOIC Clip.
I have seen there are 2 bios chips in the MB, one of the KBC and one for the Main.
Unfortunately i have only the .fd (Q5WV1X64.fd) file for the bios and the file size doesn't match the chip size (is 7mb, less or more).
KBC chip size is 1mb, Main chip size is 4mb.

Do you have the 2 separated file bios or a tool that can extract the 2 files from the .fd file?

If i succeed with this, i can do a guide for all the community with the schematic to flash a bricked CHIP (with bricked recovery XD)

Thank you all.

Giulio.

Hello!
Upload both dumps from KBC and Main chip. Also i need this file Q5WV1X64.fd.
However, if laptop have power led when starts so you can try use Recovery mode to flash bios.

Please,do not post requests me in PM.Bios modding is very dangerous work.If i provide you confirmed modded bios, please donate for my dangerous work https://goo.gl/98BgtO.Thank you!

Hello!!

Unfortunately i don't have KBC and Main chip dump, becouse i don't save it (anyway, both are faulted).
In attachment i have place the file Q5WV1X64.fd.

I have tried a lot of times to enter in recovery.
When i power on i don't have ANY response from the laptop (only the led of power on) and after a few seconds i see a reboot (the led power off and power on again).
This situation is in loop.

I have tried to recover the BIOS with this recovery procedure:
remove the battery
put Q5WV1X64.FD bios file in a FAT32 usb key and plugged in
press FN + ESC keys
with keys pressed, plug the AC/DC adapter
press Power On button
after this, i can hear the fan going to full speed.
But, nothing happens.... In all the internet i read that the usb key led should blink, but nothing.... There is no way to read the usb key....

Now, i want to try with flashing the bios chip whit my Raspberry Pi, but i don't have the 2 file that i need.

Thank you,
Giulio.

Here are dumps from two laptops.
First archive contains two dumps, another archives matches chip's dumps.

Hi,

i have tried with the 2nd and 3rd file (the 1st doesn't match the chips size).
Nothing change... the only change is that: now the notebook is not in loop. If i turn on the power the led is on but nothing happen.
No screen, no usb read, nothing...

Have you another dump from the chip?

Have you any ideas?

Thank you,
Giulio.
