Lenovo Legion 5 Pro 16ACH6H BIOS programming problems
After RAM upgrade with "ryzen ready" modules of KIGNSTON IMPACT KF432S20IB 64GB kit, the problems started with self restarts, BSOD and etc.
Thanks to bios modding by "unlocker" I start to test different settings of RAM timings to debug it. And unfortunately, one of the setting brick the bios!

Bios settings reset is NOT POSSIBLE with simply batteries removal! The settings are permanently written in the chip mem.
MB didn't boot at all, even post tests were undone, so crisis bios reflash is impossible such case!

That’s why I had to reflash the bios directly with external programmer CH341A and clamp (no need to de-solder the W74M12JW chip).
The laptop started, but the bios assets was also cleared(completely overwritten) as in a new mainboard and now are unset/invalid.

I tried known INSYDE H2O tools to set SN, MTM and etc., but with no luck.
According to insyde manual it can be set with scrips, but I did not manage to do it. Any idea how to program them?

I have an unlocked Legion 5 pro with the same 49ww bios.  In various experiments that I have done and bricked the bios, I have always been able to reset to bios defaults by disconnecting both the Main Battery and the cmos Coin shaped battery under the Left Hand side NVME drive heat sink. The coin battery connector is the first white connector on the cpu side of the heat sink cover. no need to take out any nvme to disconnect it.

What settings did you adjust to cause the initial problem?

I have changed gear down, power down, the  bgs alt setting and forced 1T sucessfully. No luck on changing any timings yet. 

I think that there is another variable that has not yet been found that we need to change to allow ram timing changes to stick and allow a reboot.

It appears that the AOD menu is in the acpi  but I have not worked out how to fully access or enable it as yet

Yes, there is an "AMD Overclocking" menu in the bios as well, but it is yet to be unlocked. The creator of the Unlocker has spent a lot of time digging around trying to figure out how to access that menu, but to no avail. Changing any memory timing related settings in the AMD CBS menu will brick the bios. These need to be changed in the AMD Overclocking tab. Would be great if some expert on this forum would have a look if they find a way to access this tab.

Yes, there is an "AMD Overclocking" menu in the bios as well, but it is yet to be unlocked. Well I have found that you can use teh h2ouve utility to access and make real time changes to the AMD Overclocking variables in Real time. You do need to extract the IFR from AOD_SETUP in the bios to work out what Variables you need to modify. I have not had luck with any memory overclocking or timing changes though. I suspect that the timings are locked to settings baked into the Sodimm eproms by the smm
