Mission Impossible??
#11
Yes, please upload that in a zip for me to look at. Bad thing is this is old, very small, limited BIOS, so options to modify may be very limited.

Download WinRAR free here, right click the BIOS file after installing WinRAR and choose add to archive, then pick zip or rar, best compression
https://www.rarlab.com/

WinZip is also free, you could use that instead too, your choice
https://www.winzip.com/win/en/

Or, it's only 1MB, you can maybe attach BIOS here, you might need to change extension to zip so forum software allows it to attach (I can change back to rom)

at the end of any post on this thread (on the actual posting) on the right side hit reply, then you will have advanced reply and can attach files.
Unsure if you can attach in PM's? But you can attach to this thread via full/advanced reply, or edit your post, Full edit, that will get you advanced reply with all the formatting/attachment tools

No hurry here, sorry to hear about the passing, take your time there and don't worry about this stuff till later!

Both things I mentioned will allow you to attach files here, see, you did it above already with .rar and .rom! Big Grin
I checked the BIOS, it's very limited and nothing I can enable for you that you can't see already, sorry Sad

What happens when you connect the device, does it show up in device manger at all? have you made it work on another system before?

Hi~~guy
The dump bios you provided ,i checked it and i found it can be injected some option.
Here is emulate screen from PBE and mod bios.
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1bRsTil...XpdZjJtk4t

You can also open and edit it by pbe(phoenix bios editor)

The question i want ask you is, how do you re-flash the mod bios??
You can visit below and try.
https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-H...GINAL-BIOS
https://www.wimsbios.com/phoenixflasher.jsp

I know you backup it by Universal BIOS Backup Toolkit(it lack of some information about phoenix bios) ,but  i guess when you use phlash16.exe to update will meet error message .

Thanks genius239, I used PBE, but didn't know I could inject any settings or new menu option.
How do you add option not already there with PBE, or do you use other non-PBE to do?

Should he maybe use some other tools to backup first, then you can mod? Would be better than Universal BIOS Backup Tool's backup file?

Hello Lost_N_BIOS,

Thank you for yr reply. And seems to me you also asked around. I truly appreciated.

When i use the USB cable (tried USB 2.0 and 3.0), device manager does not detect it. I tried and tried using 2 drivers suggested by AMD.

This external graphics card + blu ray player +dock was designed for use of certain Sony VAIO s and z series of laptop. According to Sony, it works for VGN series, which my laptop was VGN top of line. See first page of OP, this was the reason why I am trying.
