Seems like for my bios version the undervolt feature is locked and so ThrottleStop options are greyed-out.
Armory Crate seems to be the only software that can make fans work at full speed. Third party software cannot contorl it.
It seems I'm stuck with my throttling issue. Laptop age is not an issue as the motherboard has been replaced recently. Thermal compound changed for better and indeed the temperatures got better, but the GPU throttling threshold seems to also be lewer (prevously it got throttled at 83 degress, now at 80). Really weird behaviour.

1. Your mod was done.

2. Disable "CFG Lock" and "Overclocking Lock" to activate ThrottleStop ,these options are under Advanced >> Power & Performance >> CPU - Power Management Control >> CPU Lock Configuration.

3. Bios can't directly fan speed(rpm) ,but you could set a Trip Point temperature to limit fan speed percent(%) in the bios.@phantompanda already is confirm it's feasible ,but he said it still has 10% +- fluctuation of fan speed.

This option is under Advanced >> Thermal Configuration >> Platform Thermal Configuration

4. Ageing electronic component usually has higher values of resistance ,so it will bring extra heat. This is why you replace a new board then the temperature will be decrease than your old board.

Hello, I was looking into undervolting my cpu due to constant throttling but realized my bios (Asus G731GW, bios version 309) has the option locked, and I couldn't find bios 307 anywhere except for some shady archive sites. I briefly considered messing with UEFITool but have no confidence in not bricking my system. Then I found this thread and am hoping you are still unlocking this bios.

Hi, I updated my BIOS to version 309 but I can no longer tune with apps like MSI Afterburner or ThrottleStop. My GPU MHz and voltage have dropped by half and I'm experiencing FPS drops in most games. Please help me.
