I got myself into a predicament. I wanted to use an wifi AC card in this laptop so I flashed the f.18 modded BIOS that had the removed whitelist and the card worked.
I came back a few weeks later and installed the latest f.20 BIOS which removed the mod AND locked the bios from being downgraded.
So think I'm in the right spot. I need a de-whitelisted f.20 BIOS (maybe remove the lock too) so that maybe I can flash the same version.
Side note, I'm not sure where the downgrade block exists, but would I also have to ask for the BIOS flasher program to be modded so it skips a BIOS lock check when installing a different BIOS?
