hello i bought alenovo g580 without wireless adapter card so i bought one . i didnt know lenovo whitelist. so i cant do any thing with card plugged in. i want to install new bios. my g580.

Hello everyone,

I would like to kindly ask for your expert help with modifying the BIOS for my laptop.
I am trying to upgrade my internal Wi-Fi card to an Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260, but I am stuck with the factory restrictions.

Could someone please be so kind as to remove the Wi-Fi whitelist for me?

Here are my laptop details:
- Laptop Model: Lenovo IdeaPad G580 (Model name: 20150)
- Current BIOS version: 5ECN96WW (V9.01)
- Current Wi-Fi Card: Qualcomm Atheros AR9485WB-EG
- Current Wi-Fi Hardware ID: PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_0032&SUBSYS_321817AA&REV_01


I have successfully made a backup of my BIOS region using Intel FPT v8, and the "insyde_bios.bin" file is attached below in the ZIP archive.
