Is this really lenovo? I found no WL on it... may you dump the BIOS again and also tell me the message you got uppon boot with modded card?

Thanks for responding. yes it is a genuine Lenovo G580 Model 20157.Dump the Bios means back it up again? This is the message I get when i put in another wifi card "104-Unsupported wireless network device detected. system halted. Remove device and restart."

I just realized what I did wrong yesterday. I used the old backup tool and not the new one that you gave me by mistake. The above link should have the correct backup now.

i want to upgrade my wlan with a Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6235 but i got err. 104.

• current bios version: 62CN97WW

• bios backup tool cannot identify my bios (see attachment)
