Hi hoping someone on the forums here could possible help me, I have a Lenovo u510 and live in a APT where 2.4ghz kind of suck and want to upgrade my wifi card to INTEL advance N 6230 but when I installed it gave me a message Not Authorized wifi card please remove. Any help would be appreciated thanks!

Can someone help me to locate the bios chip on motherboard LA-897? i found Winbond 25Q32BVSIG (on the left) and Winbond 25Q16CVSIG (on the right) Which one is the bios chip?

it's easy . . . your MoBo has two Eeprom Chips :

--- Flash Devices Found ---
W25Q32BV ID:0xEF4016 Size: 4096KB (32768Kb)
W25Q16BV ID:0xEF4015 Size: 2048KB (16384Kb)

Or one like this :

W25Q64CVSSIG: AKE3EFP0N04
MX25L6406EM2I-12G: AKE3NFP0Z00
EN25Q64-104HIP: AKE3EFN0Q00

You have to find them and can look aroun the Chipset ENE !

Sorry! I just figured out that I have a problem with connection. Is there any guide, how to use that tools?

The problems, when I connect clips to bios chip, app says: Device is not connected. When I'm unplug clip from chip, it says: Device connected. I have no idea, whats happening

It's like You are strapping and PGM releved the signal just for a second so You
think are reading Eeprom but It not !
No there are nothining about as all users have connected fixed there Tools !
Just a bad Clip may be !
Try doing quite please . . .

I'd like to request a whitelist removal/modification for the Lenovo U510. I'm trying to replace the Centrino 2230 with a 3160. Here are the details:

BIOS version: 6FCN30WW v1.06
Old card ID: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0888&SUBSYS_42628086&REV_C4
New card ID: either DEV_08B3 or DEV_08B4, I can't install the card and check.
