BDMaster thank you for the quick reply.

In my opinion, try to add SLIC 2.1 and then run the file from rghost.net.
I understand that if I add SLIC 2.1 will be also in file backup bios?

P.S. sorry for my english
Regards
Koval

Hello,
I'm bumping this request. If there is any way I can help to make this BIOS whitelist removed, please let me know... I don't really care for SLIC, just whitelist.

Regards,
Karol

Hello, I ran this tool and it seems that there are some problems. I probably should try running under 64bit Windows.

Here is result.rar: https://www.sendspace.com/file/yfin17

Edit: Okay, I ran the backup tool under Win7 x64 and the result is identical. Can anyone please help? I tried the EzH2O/WinHex method, but I can't find the error message.

Ok friend,
I can confirm that your Bios Result file is good, then Bios Backup is right (like form, size) and
that your Eeprom is Write Protect = error 28 so We can try only by DOS using prr.exe !
You are talking about Whitelist Errors strings or other ?
Let me know
Regards

Little excursus :

Phoenix Bios :

1802: Unauthorized network card is plugged in - Power off and remove the miniPCI netwok card (8086/422B/8086/1101).
System is halted (WLan)

1804: Unauthorized network card is plugged in - Power off and remove the miniPCI netwok card (8086/422B/8086/1101).
System is halted (WWan)

Insyde Bios :

104-Unsupported wireless network device detected.
System halted. Remove device and restart. (WLan)

105-Unsupported wireless network device detected.
System halted. Remove device and restart. (WWan)

your Insyde UEFI (only these) :

Unauthorized Wireless network card is plugged in . . Power off and remove it.

Unauthorized WWAN network card is plugged in . . Power off and remove it.

Remove Whitelist Mod :

Yes, I was searching for the error string using EzH2O and WinHex as you have written below (the Insyde UEFI one), but I found nothing.

Quote:your Insyde UEFI (only these) :

Unauthorized Wireless network card is plugged in . . Power off and remove it.

Unauthorized WWAN network card is plugged in . . Power off and remove it.
Quote:Remove Whitelist Mod :

0302 : 75 17  to  EB 17        jnz     short loc_18000031B  to  jmp     short loc_18000031B
034A : 75 18  to  EB 18        jnz     short loc_180000364  to  jmp     short loc_180000364
0366 : 74 10  ro  EB 10        jz       short loc_180000378  to  jmp     short loc_180000378

Let me know if I understand this correctly. I dump the UEFI05BIOSLock module using Andy's tool, modify the hex and replace it? Should I use compression/decompression when inserting?

Then save and update using prr.exe, right?

Many thanks!

Unfortunately, the bios is write protected, prr.exe and prr2.exe tool does not work Sad.

All time returns an error: 28 Sad

Last chance is an SPI Programmer ...

Edit: I made modifications and programmed the chip using SPI programmer - all OK, I can install any WiFi card.

Thanks BDMaster !!!

Hi Koval,
Please post your modified BIOS image and which SPI programmer did you use?
