Hi BDMaster,

Thank you for your fast action.
I have made all accordingly to your description but unfortunately it will not work.
Attached are two fotos with the screen after flashing and with Error message after installing the Intel 7265 NIC.
After initialise the flash process it only takes 1 second and then it displays the sucessfull message. No info about bios version or checking something....
Thank you for your remarkable commitment

Hi BDMaster,

thank you for your quick reply.
I will check the info today evening (after work), but the l440 is my 1.st Laptop with a ngff m.2 slot.
So i have no chance to modify it otherwise i could override the error code at boot.
i have read that there is an override key, have you heard that too?
Is it possible to switch the wlan card at working condition or cause it some damage?
Please give me some more information to go on.
Thank you

No problem It's a way to work but has much work !
We use to swap card to read PCI / VEN . . . look here :

http://forums.mydigitallife.info/threads...d-requests

How to obtain the IDs:
1. Remove existing wireless card from laptop, leave the access cover off.
2. Boot laptop and enter boot selection screen. Press F8 therefore.
3. Install new card (whilst laptop is running), no need connect antenna wires.
4. Boot into windows and new card will appear as unknown device.
5. Now you can obtain exact ven, dev & subsys id's from device properties

-patch an unused ID sequence with the ID sequence of your new card. Correct sums if needed (HP’s own bioses)
-rebuild the biosimage.

I will try to make this Mod for You !

Hi BDMaster,

now i will surrender.
I have followed all instruction of the post, but nothing is working like described.
If i press F12 at boot the boot menue appears, i assemble the nic and select booting the hdd and directly the error 1802 comes up.
If i boot into bios setup and assemble the card it comes directly after exit.
If i run into welcome screen of windows and assemble the card then i can start windows normally (without wireless of course), but in the device manager i can search new devices and nothing happens.
It´s a bad trick...
I thought it is easier to hack the Thinkpad.
Sorry for that, but i don´t want any longer to waste your time.
Thank you for all your help

I could use this same BIOS updated as well, or even whitelisted if possible.   Can I upload what you need to these same links to see if you can help me?
